The 2012 Summer Olympics torch relay is already in progress, running from 19 May - 27 July, leading up to the Summer Olympics in London. In 70 days, about 8,000 people will carry the torch a total distance of about 8,000 miles (12,800 km) around the United Kingdom, with one day outside the UK, in Dublin.

BRUSSELICIOUS. We went on a tour of Ghent and Bruges near Brussels, Belgium. The city is bilingual (French and Dutch) and boasts a ton of good food. 15 brands of chocolate. Invented fries. Mussels. Beer.
I am so happy that an art museum is featuring women’s rights. Especially with the huge contraception rights war going on in the U.S. it’s nice to see the other side being showcased - that mom’s are usually the ones raising the children, the suicide rates among mothers, the dangerous economic dependence on men, the three roles women are filling now (worker, partner AND mother….)
MADRID!!!! Our program took us on a weekend tour of Madrid. Very fun weekend filled with 4 hours of sleep. Total.
While traveling back from Ireland, I had a 10-hour layover in London so I took a train to see the city!
